How Shall We Not Be Amazed?

GLORY be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. Both now and forever, and to the ages of the ages. Amen.

HOW shall we not be amazed at that which is born both God and man of thee, O thou who art all wonderful?

For though thou hadst made no trial of any man, O thou who art all undefiled, thou didst bear in the flesh a Son without a father, who before the ages was born of the Father without a mother; in no way suffering alteration, or mingling, or division, but preserving the property of each nature entire.

For which reason, O Lady, mother and yet virgin, entreat him, that he might save the souls of them that confess thee, with right belief, to be Mother of God.

Πῶς μὴ θαυμάσωμεν τὸν θεανδρικόν σου τόκον πανσεβάσμιε;
